Chicken Out

Under what sort of situation that you can’t really unveil your true fear/hesitation to someone you know, and have no choice but to chicken things out in the last minute before the confrontation/action?

Except cheating on partner, I can’t think of any.

I can’t think of any reason that I would do that to my parents or friends, cos I do think that there is nothing we can’t try to talk it out, no matter the opinion it’s accepted or not, we own every single right to explain why we are not doing something, do u agree?

Does it have anything to do with our gut (not literally)? Or the hormone? (cos I always have a feeling that men chicken things out more often, or just because it has less acceptability in the society due to the stereotyped male role?)

I think it’s quite difficult for me to understand this behaviour, sadly I’m the kind of person that really keep my words.

The only exception I can think of is, if it’s not about the gut nor the hormone, the person must be very changeable, if he/she doesn’t know what he/she really want in the last minute, how could he/she keep their words?

Whatever the cause is, I believe this kind of people is truly the disaster/heartbreaker to the man kind, and also the ultimate victim of their own lives.
