Eurasian Fever

There are many reasons that I like being (try not to use the word living) in European cities, I don’t fancy being in Paris or Hamburg, but the country-sides, I have sorted out some of the reasons:

1. The smells of the air, flower, grass, the land and animals…which make you feel so free and relax.

2. The tranquil life, you can always be very concentrated on what you are doing, like reading, writing, cooking, or even walking around yourself.

3. Language problems, since I’m not the native speaker of any European language, I’m simply mute, I like to see the world with my eyes, and experience it with my hands, too much noise and opinion do bother me.

4. Also language problems, since I pick up languages very fast, and always speak with my unique accent ( I don’t know what accent is it, but the listeners found it very cute and sexy so far :P ) which is a bonus for me, try to picture that no matter what you say, people would just pay attention, and look into your eyes. Heehe;)

5. The desire of being special, anyway I ‘m a stranger everywhere, but being in the European cities make me feel special: black hairs, black eyes, and I don’t know why Asian girls look so good in western fashion but also in their own traditional customs, I might not be one of them, but somehow I found the Asian women in Europe very attractive.

6. Endless adventure, it takes us a life time to be familiar with our own cultures, as it’s something lively changing, so you can picture living there, and facing new things everyday, which is quite a charm for me as I’m a jumpy person. (when I’m not a book worm) :P

7. Social circle, it’s always a lot easier meeting friends in foreign cities; everyone wants to practise English, and learning one of the Asian language, like Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese ;) you would not easily feeling bored there. (not in my experience)

8. Being popular effortlessly, it’s true, don’t ask me why! I like cooking so much, and people fancy Asian food!

9. There is no such word ‘gentlemen’ in Chinese, as a little Asian there; you would feel a lot more like a princess ever than in Asian cities where women are seen as child carriers. :P And more, what is weight-loss? You don’t have to since you would never be heavy enough to compete with the women there. (I’m not being mean since they have bigger boobs too) :P

10. The taste of being independent, once you shut off all the meaningless conversation (since you don’t understand them), and concentrate on your own issue, you would feel stronger, don’t ask me why…

Those are my personal opinion, and confessions, so, my friends, stop to asking me all these, I’m not an alien! ;)

And to be fair, there is also something I don’t like about European cities:

First of all, please be reminded that I’m from Hong Kong

1. Dirty street and pee marks everywhere!

2. Expensive transportation fee

3. Ridiculous Tax system

4. Shops close too early, which you would never be able to do shopping after work, or on weekends!

5. Racism, whom do I want to lie to? It’s the matter of fact that racist everywhere, not only in Europe.

6. Food problems, unless you are in Italy. (I don’t think French cuisine is the best, it’s world famous, that’s all)

7. Restaurants have fewer competitors compared to Asia countries, the restaurants there are so expensive, and which the price you pay is not equal to the service or the quality of the food you would have.

8. No tropical beaches :P

9. Not that easy to get fresh seafood if you don’t live by the sea

10. No Customer Service at all, you shouldn’t expect it as it’s not even a concept, UK is a bit better compare to other European countries.

Please note that the opinions above are ONLY base on my own experience, I apologise here for the groundless commons I made.

Hate me.
