Day 3 - Part 2 - A Sleepless Night in Seoul

This is what we were dreaming in Pyeongchang where the sky and land were both white!

Moving to Seoul we are arriving Jamsil Station, this place literally means "Silk Room". Now I think it has nothing to do with silk but this is where all the nice shopping malls and hotels are. Whether silk room reminds you of female workers in working together in a silk factory room or little cocoons, silk is silk and silk is always beautiful ;)

Trying to capture the facade of Shisagae here

The first taxi driver we encountered was a very nice gentleman, not only was he patiently help us to locate our "hotel" (this is not really a hotel but it was part of our "adventure" as we decided not to stay in only grand hotel in Seoul!)

In Seoul, the licensed Taxi are GPRS equipped,  all the driver has to do is to input the telephone number on the touch screen and the system would guide you there, no more merry-go-around tourist traps!

Our first ride, Mr. Kind tried to tell us places to visit with his body language and a few English words :) hehee and in the end he taught us "anni-oun se-yo", means Thank you in Korean. :)

Our "hotel", where we had the worst experience here but mission completed, it was certainly an adventure ;)

We decided to go out and look for food immediately!

Hmm....what is it?

Looking closer.... lol a bbq camp on the middle of the street!  lol

With out limited Korean speaking skills and some cash and an extremely empty stomach, we went to a decent bbq restaurant instead ;) hehe

We both preferred this better than the green one, but we aren't sure the difference between the two ;) hehe

Before

After

Getting our single tickets

Most of the lines here are quite dated, it reminds me of Europe for some reasons.

If you need help, learn Korean!!!

Tea House ( I believe)  inside the subway

Directory in the subway, sponsored by some landlords ?  Because we couldn't find half the destinations we were looking for there.

Where Doota is

They love rice cake with red bean paste there, a lot!

We got (on top) Fast food on a stick (a hot dog wrapped with bread and french fries) Underneath we had sauages combo and ricecake on stick

Shopping in PJ in 2am

Cans here are all slim :)

Love their yogurt selection, gonna try them all!

Lace Lace I like lace on the bottle

Doota, one of the malls that doesn't close!

The men are napping at the waiting area at 2am   lol

My first present to Aria :)

Something for Bag but turned out to be too small.... ;p

Outside Doota - 18c at 2am, a young man singing at the top of his lung with his guita to stay warm!

Spicy Chicken corn pops - Not bad but not spicy at all

Watching the staff cleaning the slopes. Thanks to them the slopes are truly snow white even there have been so many visitors.
